REMOTE PRE HOSPITAL TRAUMA & DISASTER COURSE NT0023

NCCTRC Training Facility, 8th Floor Royal Darwin Hospital

This is a 2 day course for personnel who routinely attend pre-hospital incidents, providing advanced trauma knowledge and skills in the management of patients in the field, technicalities of extrication and management of mass casualties' incidents.

Course content:

  • First on the scene- Scene management and management of those seriously injured
  • Extrication of trapped casualties, when there is no help
  • Advanced trauma knowledge and advanced trauma skills stations (includes advanced airway, chest and fracture management)
  • Importance of team work, communication and control at the site

Suitable participants: Remote health care clinicians, medics, paramedics, ambulance auxiliary, GP's, medical & nursing, retrieval, aboriginal health workers, emergency services, mine rescue and the Australian Defence Force health personnel.

Northern Territory Government staff members: $290.00 pp incl. GST

non Northern Territory Government staff: $585.00 pp incl. GST
